An afternoon visit with a friend turned violent on San Antonio’s Far West Side on Monday when a woman was stabbed multiple times outside a business near the busy corner of Horal Drive and Marbach Road. Police were called about 3:45 p.m. to the intersection, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with stab wounds. It was not immediately clear whether any arrests had been made, and investigators were asking witnesses to come forward.
According to News4SanAntonio, officers arriving at the scene confirmed that at least one person was transported to a hospital. A News4SanAntonio photo gallery credited to SBG San Antonio described the victim as a woman who had been stabbed multiple times and said the suspect and a witness were at large. Police have not released the victim’s name or a possible motive.
Violence on the Marbach Corridor
The Horal and Marbach intersection sits along a stretch of the Far West Side that local outlets have repeatedly flagged for violent encounters, from fights to shootings. KSAT reported a May incident near Marbach Road in which a suspect ran over a man after an argument, underscoring recurring safety concerns in the area.
