Three teenagers were rushed to the hospital after gunfire tore through a party on Detroit’s west side late Saturday night, turning a neighborhood gathering into a crime scene.
Police said the shooting happened in the 16100 block of Harlow, where a boy and two girls were struck and taken to a nearby hospital in temporary serious condition. The Detroit Police Department has launched an investigation into what led up to the violence.
According to WXYZ, the shooting occurred last night, and investigators were still combing through the scene as of early Sunday. No one was in custody at that time.
A String of Party Shootings
The west side party shooting is the latest in a troubling run of teen gatherings ending in gunfire across Detroit. FOX 2 Detroit reported that two teen girls were wounded at an illegal street party on the city’s west side in June 2025. In a separate case, WDIV covered a downtown teen shooting on May 17 that also drew fresh attention to youth violence and large unsanctioned gatherings.
Those incidents have kept police busy and heightened concerns about what happens when big summer parties spill into the street without permits, security or much adult supervision.

Detectives are asking anyone with information, photos, or video from the party to step forward and help piece together what happened. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Michigan.
