Traffic cameras captured a heavy lineup of fire engines and other emergency vehicles crowding the roadway while responders worked the scene. Drivers were urged to steer clear and find alternate routes as firefighters remained on site and the shutdown stretched into the evening.
According to KTNV, the emergency-tracking platform PulsePoint showed multiple units dispatched to the structure fire. The Regional Transportation Commission notified Channel 13 that all lanes on southbound Main Street were closed after Washington Avenue, adding to the congestion that rippled through downtown.
