
A homicide investigation is underway on Cleveland’s East Side after a 56-year-old woman was found dead Monday afternoon in the Collinwood-Nottingham neighborhood, and police are treating the case as a murder.
The woman was discovered in the 900 block of East 145th Street, where officers responded and began working the scene. Authorities have classified the death as a homicide, but have not yet shared specific details about what led them to that conclusion.
According to 19 News (WOIO), the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Elizabeth Anderson, 56, of Cleveland. The station reports that investigators have not released further information and that 19 News has reached out to the Cleveland Division of Police for additional comment.

The Cleveland Division of Police has opened a homicide investigation, and detectives were on the scene Monday collecting evidence and speaking with potential witnesses as they worked to piece together what happened.
