A 57-year-old Macon man is behind bars after authorities say he repeatedly exposed himself on the beach at Long Branch State Park while families were just trying to enjoy a day at the lake. He was booked on three counts of first-degree sexual misconduct and is being held in the Macon County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond. A court appearance is set for July 13.
According to KTVO, court records and witness statements identify the suspect as Kevin Britton, 57. Witnesses told investigators he lay on the beach and exposed his genitals several times, and one victim reported that he masturbated while women and children were nearby. KTVO also reports that prosecutors charged Britton with three counts of first-degree sexual misconduct and published a booking photo credited to the Macon County Sheriff's Office.

What First-Degree Sexual Misconduct Covers
Under Missouri law, first-degree sexual misconduct can include knowingly exposing one's genitals or engaging in sexual contact in public or in view of others when the conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm. The statute, listed as RSMo 566.093, spells out those elements and generally treats the offense as a misdemeanor unless the defendant has prior qualifying convictions. The full statutory language is available from the Missouri Revisor of Statutes.
Britton remains in custody as the investigation continues, with his next court date scheduled for July 13. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Macon County Sheriff's Office at 660-385-2062. This story will be updated if prosecutors file further charges or if new court records are released.
