Jacksonville narcotics detectives say a Sunbeam Road area home that neighbors flagged as a drug spot is now offline, after officers hauled away more than 500 grams of illegal narcotics and four firearms. Two men were taken into custody in the takedown, which police say started with tips from the surrounding community.
Evidence and arrests
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, narcotics-unit detectives working with a SWAT team served a search warrant on July 1 at a residence on Ragsdale Drive. Inside, officers say they found roughly 353.1 grams of methamphetamine, 95.1 grams of powder cocaine, 44.1 grams of crack cocaine, 18.3 grams of fentanyl, 4.6 grams of MDMA and 19.3 grams of marijuana. They also reported seizing $7,522 in cash and four firearms, including three handguns and one rifle.
The agency identified the men arrested in connection with the search as 39-year-old Ronald Craven and 46-year-old Cornelius Bell. Investigators again urged residents to report suspicious activity by calling 904.630.0500.
Part of a wider pattern
The Ragsdale Drive seizure lands amid a string of high-volume drug takedowns in Jacksonville this month. News4JAX reported a July 14 operation that turned up about 4 kilograms of fentanyl and a large amount of cash in a separate case.

Local reporters and officials have described these kinds of large seizures as part of broader efforts to disrupt supply chains that feed overdoses and street-level violence.

“The investigation began thanks to a tip from the community,” the sheriff's office wrote, crediting nearby residents for contacting detectives and setting the warrant process in motion. The agency again asked anyone with information to call 904.630.0500, per the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Detectives say the case remains active as they follow up on leads tied to the Ragsdale Drive address. For now, officers say the operation has taken a sizable mix of opioids, stimulants and firearms out of a neighborhood that has already seen multiple narcotics investigations this year.
