
One person died early Thursday after a vehicle left Power Line Road near Sacramento International Airport, struck a tree and ignited a small grass fire. The crash prompted a fatality investigation on a Sacramento County roadway before sunrise.
What Happened Near Power Line Road
The California Highway Patrol’s public incident log listed the crash as a fatality at about 3:28 a.m. near Power Line Road and Garden Highway, south of the airport. The log did not identify the person who died or provide a cause for the crash.
According to CBS Sacramento, the vehicle went off the road, hit a tree and sparked a small grass fire. First responders contained the blaze, while Power Line Road was closed during the early-morning investigation and later reopened.
