Set your alarms, Wauwatosa. Milkee Donuts is throwing its grand opening on Saturday, July 18, at 2751 N. Mayfair Road, serving up California-style sweets starting at 5 a.m. The new shop is celebrating with a simple promise: a free doughnut with any purchase while the party lasts. Alongside the pastry case, the menu features coffee, smoothies, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
Milkee quietly tested the waters with soft openings from July 15 to 17 before committing to the big debut. As reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, owner Oliver Ueng moved to the area from Arizona to launch the concept and has his eye on additional locations around Milwaukee if things go well.
City inspection records list Milkee Donuts at 2751 N. Mayfair Road, Unit G, and show an inspection in late June, according to Wauwatosa. A community events calendar also pegs the grand opening for 5 a.m. on Saturday, per OutMKE. Delivery platforms such as Uber Eats and DoorDash already list Milkee for pickup and delivery, so early risers do not even have to leave the house to cash in.
What to Expect at the Grand Opening
The counter will lean hard into colorful California-style doughnuts, with options loaded up with Fruity Pebbles, Oreos and other candy-shop toppings, plus specialty flavors such as ube and matcha. Milkee's menu will also include coffee, smoothies and breakfast-and-lunch sandwiches. Ueng summed it up to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: "Now we have another doughnut shop in Wauwatosa."
A New Tenant in One Mayfair
Milkee has taken over a storefront in the One Mayfair retail strip near the larger Mayfair Collection, positioning itself to catch morning traffic from the mall and nearby shops. Property listings for the center and local leasing posts show Milkee joining other recent tenants, a sign that the Mayfair corridor continues to refresh its retail mix; see the Mayfair Collection for context.
Where Milkee Lands in Tosa's Donut Scene
Wauwatosa already has long-running doughnut spots that draw serious early-bird crowds, so Milkee is stepping into a busy, sugar-loving scene. Local guides and neighborhood roundups note lines at established favorites, which suggests Milkee will need to keep flavors rotating and cases full to earn a spot in residents' weekend routines; Milwaukee Magazine highlights several of those existing go-to shops.
According to Milkee's posted hours and local listings, the shop plans to operate daily from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the grand opening freebies available while supplies last.
