Flips Patio Grill in Grapevine is about to go quiet for a bit, but not for lack of fans. The neighborhood hangout will temporarily shut its doors on July 19 for a six- to eight-week interior remodel that will rework the bar, reshape the dining room and convert the space from smoking to non-smoking. Management says the goal is to reopen later this year after the upgrade.
The closure plan and remodel timeline were first detailed by Community Impact, which reports that general manager Tim Hardy confirmed the project and that the announcement came via a Facebook post. “We can't wait to welcome you back to a refreshed space that honors everything you've loved while bringing something new for the future,” the business wrote, according to the post shared with the outlet.
Neighborhood Fixture and Menu
Flips has long served as a local standby for made-from-scratch burgers, hand-cut fries and a roomy patio that keeps regulars lingering. The restaurant still advertises late-night hours on its site, and, per Flips' website, the Grapevine location continues to list its usual hours and menu details even as the team gets ready to close for the remodel.
Timeline and Reopening
The temporary shutdown is scheduled to start July 19, with the renovation expected to run roughly six to eight weeks, Community Impact reports. The publication also notes that Flips first opened its Grapevine outpost in 2006 and says the restaurant plans to reopen later in 2026 once the refresh is complete.
Regulars who do not want to miss the comeback should keep an eye on the restaurant’s social channels for reopening news and reservation details, as Flips has encouraged followers on Facebook to stay tuned.
