Greendale's four-day birthday bash is still rolling, with live music, food vendors, family rides and a raffle filling out the weekend schedule. Village Days continues through Sunday as the community celebrates Greendale's 88th birthday with a packed downtown lineup.
The Greendale police Facebook post reminded visitors to stop by and purchase raffle tickets while they are in the festival area. Organizers also thanked the businesses and community donors who contributed raffle prizes and helped put on the event.
Saturday Brings Markets, BMX Stunts And Live Music
According to the Greendale Entertainment Association, the festival features local food and beverages, live bands, BMX performances, a car show and a rummage sale. The family entertainment area includes inflatable rides, kids' games, face painting, balloon figures and an arcade.
Saturday's schedule starts with the Greendale Downtown Market from 8 a.m. to noon and Rummage on the Green from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to OnMilwaukee's festival preview. BMX stunt demonstrations are scheduled for noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., while Logan Ramely's Elvis tribute, Tail Spin and Generation Z take turns on the entertainment stage.
Sunday Closes The Festival With Cars And Tributes
Sunday's car show runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by performances from Eric Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute act, and Greendale's Own 60's & 70's. A special appearance by Thunder is also planned during the Sunday performance.
North Shore Bank, one of the event's sponsors, describes Village Days as a family-focused celebration with food, drinks, music, rides and games. The free shuttle between the Greendale High School lower-level parking lot and Panther Pub runs Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., giving visitors one less parking headache to wrestle with.
Admission is free, and the event remains centered in downtown Greendale through Sunday. Between the bands, food stands, vintage cars and raffle tickets, Village Days is offering plenty of reasons to make one more stop before the weekend disappears.
