A Greenville man is headed to state prison for 25 years after a jury convicted him of trafficking fentanyl and cocaine and of possessing a gun as a felon, capping a case that started with a summer search warrant and ended with a six-figure fine.
Dwight Eisenhower Ferguson, 71, was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections and ordered to pay a $250,000 fine, per a report from WSPA. Deputies had executed a search warrant at his home in July 2024 and said they recovered large quantities of illegal drugs along with a firearm. The case was prosecuted in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
According to FOX Carolina, the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office said Ferguson was found guilty of trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine and possession of a weapon by a felon. The outlet reports that prosecutors presented their evidence in Greenville General Sessions, where the sentence and $250,000 fine were handed down this week.
