What started as a simple traffic stop on Wednesday in the 10700 block of Fallbrook Road in northeast Harris County turned into a demolition job on someone’s house, after deputies say the driver tried to bolt and wound up crashing into a home, causing structural damage. Deputies detained the driver at the scene after the vehicle sped into a residential driveway and did not stop. The driver was later booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of fleeing a peace officer.
Deputies Say Darkened Car Turned Into Disaster
According to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4, a deputy first tried to pull the vehicle over after spotting it driving without headlights. Instead of stopping, the driver allegedly turned into a residential driveway in an apparent attempt to get away. The move backfired when the vehicle failed to stop and slammed into the house, which Herman said caused structural damage.
The constable identified the driver as Kerri Marissa Rodgers Dickerson and said deputies took her into custody at the scene.
Court Records, Charge And Bond
Harris County District Clerk records show that a criminal case for "fleeing police officer" in County Court 3 was filed on July 23. The constable’s update stated that Rodgers Dickerson was arrested, booked into the Harris County Jail and given a $100 bond in County Court 3.
Officials have not released additional details on possible injuries or whether anyone else was in the vehicle.

Crashes that end with vehicles inside homes have been popping up in northeast Harris County, keeping neighbors on edge and first responders busy. Earlier this month, a Hoodline report detailed a short pursuit that ended when a fleeing driver plowed into a house in the Auburn Pines area, a reminder of how quickly a basic traffic stop can turn dangerous for people who are not even on the road.
