Nassau County police are asking residents to speak up after an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed on a Hempstead street late Sunday night. Officers found the teen outside an apartment building on Fulton Avenue, and he later died at a nearby hospital. Police say officers were called around 9:25 p.m. on June 28 to 545 Fulton Ave., near California Avenue, where they discovered the 18-year-old with puncture wounds to his torso. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to News 12 New York. Authorities have not released any suspect descriptions or a possible motive as the case moves forward.

In a Facebook post, the Nassau County Police Department asked the public to help identify those involved and listed case identifiers CSU 103-26 and case report number 226cr0001280 for the June 28 attack outside 545 Fulton Ave. The post directs tipsters to Nassau County Crime Stoppers, notes that callers can remain anonymous, and says Crime Stoppers may offer up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
