Springfield Township police are asking the public to help track down two suspects after a theft at a local Home Depot ended with a stolen delivery van, a quick dump of the vehicle about a mile away and, according to officers, an unhelpfully honest live-feed camera rolling inside the van the whole time.
Investigators say a male suspect stole the delivery van to flee the scene. When the vehicle was later recovered, police reported that the suspects had switched outfits between incidents, suggesting at least some effort to dodge identification, despite that live video camera watching their moves.
Police Released Photos And Details
According to the Springfield Township Police Department Facebook post, officers were called to the Home Depot at about 4:25 p.m. The department says the case centers on two individuals and that warrants are being sought.
Police shared multiple images of the suspects and asked anyone who recognizes the people in those photos to either message the department’s Facebook page or call dispatch at 330-733-1061 with tips.
