A Houston-area horse breeder is searching for Peanut, a miniature horse who vanished after a white truck allegedly drew him through an unlocked gate last Thursday. The tiny horse’s disappearance has left his owner pleading for a safe return and asking anyone who recognizes Peanut to come forward.
According to FOX 26 Houston, surveillance footage captured a white truck and a person inside it near the property by the Heights. Peanut is known for his small size and distinctive dark blue eyes, details that could help someone identify him.
Owner Terry Jordan told the station that he had 13 horses before Peanut was taken and now has 12. Jordan said Peanut was born while he was battling Stage 4 cancer, making the horse’s disappearance especially painful, and he has urged whoever has Peanut to bring him home without fear of confrontation.
Houston Police Ask For Details About Stolen Horses
The Houston Police Department says its Animal Cruelty Squad investigates cases involving abused, neglected, abandoned or stolen animals, including livestock such as horses. The department advises witnesses to share specific identifying information, including an animal’s color, breed, markings, tattoos or microchip details.
