A 26-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a shooting at a Houston business parking lot, while another man was wounded and hospitalized in stable condition. The gunfire sent investigators searching for a group of unknown males witnesses said fled the area on foot.
Houston police said responding officers found the deceased man lying in the parking lot at 4902 Laura Koppe Road. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, while the second male victim was shot as he sat in a vehicle and taken to a hospital, according to the Houston Police Department.
Witnesses Reported Group Fleeing After Gunfire
Witnesses told police they saw several unknown males shooting in the area before running away. The identity of the deceased man is being withheld while the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences works to notify his family.
