Humble’s Woodland Hills corridor is in line for a new Popeyes, with construction expected to start this fall on a $1.2 million restaurant project. The quick-service spot is projected to be finished next spring, though hungry locals will have to wait for an official opening date.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project record, the Popeye’s Woodland Hills development is scheduled to begin Oct. 1 and wrap up April 1, 2027. The filing describes a privately funded, roughly 2,540-square-foot new-construction restaurant on Woodland Hills in Humble.
Project Filing Names Popeyes But Leaves Operator Unassigned
As reported by Community Impact, the project is expected to bring Popeyes’ familiar fried chicken, biscuits and Cajun-style sides to the area. The filing does not list a projected grand-opening date, so the April completion target should be treated as a construction milestone rather than a promise that sandwiches will be ready that month.
The state record identifies the facility as Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen and lists Aramu Management LLC as the owner, with Ryden Architecture LLC named as the design firm. The tenant field, however, remains marked “Not Assigned,” meaning the public filing does not yet identify the franchise operator behind the planned location.
Woodland Hills Keeps Adding Fast-Casual Competition
The Popeyes plan arrives as Woodland Hills continues to attract new restaurant projects. Hoodline reported in April that Donatos Pizza was planning its first Houston-area location in Humble, while a separate Hoodline report detailed a Dave’s Hot Chicken project nearby.
That puts the new Popeyes in the middle of a broader dining buildout rather than a lone fast-food arrival. For now, October marks the start of construction, while the opening date remains firmly in the “stay tuned” category, according to Community Impact.
