The transformation is part of a yearslong rebuild that hit a major checkpoint this summer when the club opened a reimagined clubhouse and an 11-hole short course, reshaping the 1909 private club into a year-round, family-focused hangout for golf, racquets, dining and fitness.
New drone shots and an aerial video published last Tuesday show a series of pools stepping down toward the lake, including a family pool, an adult pool with a terrace, a spa pool with a terrace, and a slide pool, according to MLive. Matching renderings on the club’s site highlight the same multi-pool layout and note that new-member options are open for those interested in joining, according to Kalamazoo Country Club.
What’s inside the new clubhouse
The revamped clubhouse pulls multiple experiences under one roof: several dining venues, a full fitness and wellness center, youth and gathering spaces, plus entertainment touches such as a bowling alley and a private screening room, according to the project overview from CSM Group. The same project details note that the build also includes an indoor racquets facility with three courts and a pro shop, while new outdoor courts and a “Paddle Hut” gathering space are still being finished.
Golf: The Eleven is open, 18 holes to follow
The Eleven, an 11-hole short course designed by architect Andrew Green, opened in June as a quick, family-friendly complement to the club’s growing slate of amenities, according to Golf Course Industry. A full 18-hole championship course by Green is slated to open for member play in 2027, as outlined on the club’s project pages at Kalamazoo Country Club.
Construction and community impacts
Work is still underway across the property, with outdoor pickleball and platform-tennis courts, the Paddle Hut gathering space, and extensive landscaping all in progress. The broader buildout also includes a parking structure and upgraded site infrastructure.
