A north Columbus skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility has changed hands in a $26.675 million sale, putting the real estate at 5700 Karl Road under a new owner. The transaction is notable for the size of the price tag, but no closure, resident move, or immediate change in care was reported.
According to The Columbus Dispatch, 5700 Karl Road sold July 13 to Arch RE Group LLC for $26,675,000. The seller was 5700 Karl Road LLC, with the sale identified through county auditor records.
What Changed At 5700 Karl Road
The property is home to The Laurels of Walden Park, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. CMS records identify the provider at the Karl Road address, while a Laurel Health Care release said the company acquired the former Villa Angela Care Center in 2018 and renamed it The Laurels of Walden Park.
The sale appears to involve the facility's real estate, not necessarily a change in the company operating the nursing home. The public transaction information names Arch RE Group LLC as the buyer, but does not say that Laurel Health Care is leaving, that the facility will be renamed, or that resident services will change.
For now, the headline is a major property transfer tied to one of north Columbus' established post-acute care facilities. Any change to the operator, staffing, or resident-facing policies would likely come through a separate company announcement or regulatory filing.
