What began as a typical Sunday afternoon in Kissimmee ended in tragedy when a young child was fatally shot on Scrapbook Street, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they were called around 4 p.m. to the 2600 block of Scrapbook Street, where they found a young child suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital and later died.
According to FOX 35 Orlando, investigators have not yet determined what led to the gunfire, and deputies have not said whether anyone has been taken into custody. The sheriff's office told the station there is no threat to the wider community.
