Rush To Hospital And Witness Accounts

The St. Francis Fire Department rushed the victim to a hospital, where she later died of her injuries. The Milwaukee County medical examiner told WISN 12 that hospital staff notified the office of a death tied to the shooting. Neighbors told reporters they heard several shots and then saw a woman on the ground in the parking lot, according to the outlet.

St. Francis police said that around 8:20 p.m. officers took a 33-year-old Milwaukee man into custody as a person of interest and that the case is still under active investigation. The department was assisted by the Cudahy and Milwaukee police departments, Wauwatosa police, Brookfield police, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, FOX6 News Milwaukee reported.
