Block's recent violence
Neighbors on this stretch of Langston Place SE know the sound of gunfire all too well. The same block has seen multiple shootings in recent months. On June 14, a man was shot and killed there, as reported by FOX5, and residents have been increasingly vocal about their fears and frustrations.
Earlier coverage has highlighted residents' concerns about repeated violence on the block, as people living there grapple with crime scenes unfolding right outside their front doors.
How to help
Investigators are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who may have video from the area, to come forward. Tipsters can contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text information to 50411, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say even small details can help piece together what led up to the shooting and who was behind it.
