Folsom Tap House & Kitchen is calling time for good, with the family-friendly beer hall set to pour its final pints Thursday night and shut down permanently at 9 p.m. on July 9. The sudden closure was announced earlier this week, and the kitchen has already gone dark ahead of the last two cash-only evenings.
The bar’s social feed urged regulars and curious first-timers alike to “join us for one last call before the Taphouse permanently closes,” according to The Sacramento Bee, which reports the tap house will be open from 4–9 p.m. on July 8 and July 9 for a final round.
Folsom Tap House’s website lists the spot inside the Raley’s at the Parkway shopping center in Folsom. The beer hall first opened in 2014 under restaurateur Jeff Back, as noted by Dave's Travels. Ownership shifted the following year when Stacey Conway took over operations in 2015, according to Style Magazine. Corporate records compiled by BizProfile show Richard Walton registered Folsom Tap House Inc. in 2023.
Another flip on Folsom’s dining strip
The shutdown marks the latest shakeup along Folsom’s busy restaurant corridors, where concepts have been swapping out with increasing speed. In April, University of Beer’s Folsom location closed to make room for a sushi operator, a reminder of how quickly familiar haunts can vanish.
For those plotting one last visit, Folsom Tap House will be open 4–9 p.m. on July 8 and July 9, cash only, with no kitchen service, The Sacramento Bee reports. Walton was not available for comment as of press time, and the future of the space remains up in the air once the doors close on July 9.
