Two residents and their dog were displaced after a late-night structure fire in Deer Park spread into nearby vegetation before firefighters stopped it from moving farther. Crews stayed through the night, turning a dangerous Napa County response into an early-morning salvage and overhaul operation.
The fire was reported just before midnight in the 1000 block of Deer Park Road, according to an update from the County of Napa relaying information from CAL FIRE/Napa County Fire Department. The cause remains under investigation.

Firefighters contained the blaze before it could spread further, even as flames extended into nearby vegetation. They remained on scene into the early morning hours, conducting salvage and overhaul operations.
Mutual Aid And Red Cross Support Followed The Fire
St. Helena City Fire Department, Calistoga Fire Department and AMR joined the response, while the American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced occupants. Officials had not released additional details about the extent of damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as crews and authorities assess what happened at the Deer Park property.
