A late-night shooting in a Fort Worth parking lot left one man dead and several people detained for questioning yesterday, police said.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Carol Oaks Lane at 11:41 p.m. yesterday, where they found an adult male lying in a parking lot with at least one apparent gunshot wound. Emergency crews and officers tried life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at 12:07 a.m., according to FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth.
Police response and tips
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and detained several people there for questioning. As of now, officials have not announced any formal arrests or charges.

A troubling local pattern

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once next of kin have been notified, officials said.
