Bodycam and dash video released by the Lewisville Police Department shows the car drifting across multiple lanes, squeezing between other vehicles and coming uncomfortably close to side-swiping traffic. In the footage, officers activate lights and sirens and try several times to get the driver to pull over, yet the car keeps moving past open shoulders and exits.
At one point, the suspect can be heard telling officers, “I just wanted to go home,” according to Lewisville Police Department. The department’s post states the driver had been drinking before the stop and that officers ultimately arrested him on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and evading arrest with a vehicle.
