
An 85-year-old woman was last seen Thursday afternoon in Lomita, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public to help locate her. Dorothy Rae Carter was last seen near Pacific Coast Highway and may be traveling in a silver Chevrolet Cruze.
What Deputies Say About Carter
According to LASD’s public bulletin, Carter was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of Pacific Coast Highway. She is described as a Black woman who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair or a black wig.
Carter was reportedly wearing a white floral shirt, dark pants, and white-and-black sneakers. She may be traveling in a silver 2012 Chevrolet Cruze with California license plate 6WDE454, and the bulletin lists Artesia as a possible destination. Her family is concerned about her well-being, according to the sheriff’s department.
