From 9 p.m. Friday until about noon Saturday, short segments of the Loop 1604 frontage road between Gold Canyon Road and Redland Road will run in both directions while work crews move in. The eastbound Redland Road exit will be closed during that window, so anyone aiming for the 281 retail zone should expect detours, U turns and some added travel time.
According to TxDOT, crews will be performing bridge joint repairs between Gold Canyon and Redland. To create a safe work area, traffic will be shifted on the frontage roads and certain ramps and mainlane segments will be shut down for the overnight operation, as outlined in the agency’s closure notice.
