Houston robbery detectives are turning to the public for help identifying suspects in a May 25 robbery at a general store in the 8500 block of Main Street. Surveillance stills shared by investigators show several people inside the shop and one person leaving in a white vehicle. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to a charge or an arrest.

What investigators released

The Houston Police Robbery Division posted a wanted notice on X on July 13 that included surveillance images and a short case description asking anyone who recognizes the person involved to speak up, according to Houston Police Robbery. Detectives said the social media post was meant to cast a wider net for witnesses and any additional footage.

The division's online case log notes that the complainant was working at the general store at about 7:15 a.m. on May 25 when four people walked in. According to the entry, one suspect was seen leaving and getting into a white vehicle, while the others loaded up baskets and hid merchandise in their clothing before heading out. Investigators released still images in hopes of identifying everyone involved, per Houston Police Robbery.

Other recent Main Street alerts

This latest notice follows a similar wanted alert issued earlier in June for a May 6 robbery on the 9300 block of Main Street, a case covered in the Hoodline story Main Street Lunch Turns Ugly. Investigators say that tips and private-camera footage from nearby homes and businesses can be crucial in closed-circuit investigations.

Anyone with information or video related to the May 25 robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS and reference HPD's Robbery Division notice. Details and images are also posted on the division's online case log. All tips are handled anonymously and may be eligible for the advertised reward.
