A 71-year-old man was getting into his car in Marine Park Thursday when a stranger pulled a gun, demanded his watch and wallet, and escaped with about $780. The robbery unfolded just before 6:30 p.m., turning a routine stop near Flatbush Avenue into a fast-moving street crime.
According to News 12 Brooklyn, police said the man was approached in front of 2462 Flatbush Avenue. His wallet contained roughly $350 and credit cards, while the total taken also included his watch.
Suspect Fled Toward East 53rd Street
Investigators said the robber ran eastbound on East 53rd Street after taking the property. No arrest or suspect description was publicly announced in the initial report.
