Two masked men stormed a Glen Burnie 7-Eleven on Wednesday night, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and left with cash before officers could get there, according to police. No injuries were reported, but detectives are now turning to the public for help tracking the pair down.
According to FOX45, the robbery happened around 10:20 p.m. on July 22 at the 7-Eleven on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Police say two Black men entered the store, one in a black hoodie, black shorts and a black ski mask, the other in a white T-shirt, khaki pants and a gray-and-black camo ski mask. Investigators say one of the men pulled a handgun and demanded money. After the clerk handed over cash, the suspects ran from the store. Officers later canvassed the area but could not find them.
Police are asking for tips
Detectives with the Regional Crimes Unit are handling the case and are asking anyone with information to call 410-222-4730. The department says there have been no arrests and the investigation remains active.
A pattern of convenience-store robberies
Local coverage shows this is not the only 7-Eleven in the area to be hit in recent months. Patch reported on an armed robbery on Dec. 30 at a 7-Eleven on Quarterfield Road, and Shore News Network detailed another Glen Burnie holdup. In those earlier cases, as in the latest one, the Regional Crimes Unit was called in to review surveillance footage and chase down witness leads.
