Westwood Village turned into an active crime scene late Wednesday night after a carjacking was reported just before 11:30 p.m. Neighbors said officers spoke with the person whose vehicle was taken while patrol units cruised surrounding streets looking for the suspects.
According to West Seattle Blog, radio traffic described the stolen vehicle as a black Honda Accord with plate CTU4422. The suspects were reported as two Black males wearing black ski masks and all-black clothing, last seen heading westbound on SW Trenton. Police shared SPD incident number 26-215265 for anyone who can help fill in the gaps.
Police response
Officers set up a visible presence around the shopping center and fanned out to check nearby streets and parking lots while gathering statements, according to neighbors and dispatch reports. Recent coverage has noted that Westwood Village has drawn extra enforcement this summer following retail-theft operations.
