A massive commercial fire erupted Friday at a Kissimmee pawn shop, sending firefighters into a heavy response along West Vine Street and forcing a major eastbound closure. No injuries were reported as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.
According to WESH 2, officials received reports of a commercial structure fire at Simple Pawn & Jewelry, and Kissimmee Fire Department crews responded. Photos from the scene show firefighters working around the business while smoke and flames poured from the building.
Eastbound Vine Street Closed During Fire Response
Eastbound Vine Street is closed from North Hoagland Boulevard to Armstrong Boulevard while emergency crews remain in the area. Kissimmee officials asked drivers to avoid the corridor and use alternate routes so firefighters can work safely.
The initial information did not include a cause of the fire or an estimate of the damage. The Kissimmee Fire Department says it conducts preliminary fire investigations, so additional details may emerge after crews finish extinguishing the blaze and investigators examine the scene.
