Baltimore is getting a major soccer showcase this fall, with Mexico and Colombia set to meet at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 26. The match marks the first Baltimore stop in the 23-year history of Mexico’s MexTour.
Tickets for the international friendly are scheduled to go on sale Aug. 5, according to WBAL-TV. The game will be played during the official FIFA international match window, giving Baltimore fans a chance to see two national teams in a stadium more accustomed to hosting the Ravens.
Rafael Márquez’s New Mexico Era Starts In Baltimore
The match will also serve as Rafael Márquez’s debut as Mexico’s head coach. N+ Más reported that Márquez’s first game will come against Colombia in Baltimore as Mexico begins its next cycle following the 2026 World Cup.
The matchup carries a little extra edge after Colombia beat Mexico 4-0 in their most recent meeting in October 2025, according to the Mexican national team. The MexTour schedule then continues with Mexico facing Peru on Sept. 29 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, before closing with Chile on Oct. 6 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, WBAL-TV reported.
A Big Soccer Test For Charm City
M&T Bank Stadium, located at 1101 Russell Street, has a listed capacity of 70,257, according to the Baltimore Ravens. The venue already got a taste of Baltimore’s appetite for marquee soccer this year when D.C. United moved a Lionel Messi matchup there in what Hoodline called a Messi-sized soccer test.
Now the stadium will swap club soccer spectacle for a full international rivalry, with Mexico’s large U.S. fan base likely making the first Baltimore MexTour stop a particularly loud one. Kickoff time and additional ticket details had not been announced in the initial report.
