A late-morning shooting near West Appleton Avenue and West Congress Street in Milwaukee left a 44-year-old person dead on Wednesday, after what started as a routine day ended in yet another homicide investigation for city police.
Officers were called to the area shortly before 11:45 a.m. The victim was found with gunshot injuries and later died from those wounds. Detectives have opened a homicide investigation and, so far, have not identified any suspects.
According to CBS58, Milwaukee Police are working to piece together what led up to the gunfire.
