A late-night ride in Boiling Springs turned deadly early Thursday when a motorcycle left the road and slammed into a tree, killing the rider at the scene, authorities said. The single-vehicle wreck happened just after midnight at the intersection of Valley Falls Road and Tool Road.
Spartanburg County officials later identified the victim as 43-year-old Boiling Springs resident Aliaksandr Pratasavitski, according to WYFF. The coroner’s office identified the victim.
A death notice from Roberts Funeral Home states that Pratasavitski “passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 23, 2026 following a motorcycle accident,” with funeral arrangements still pending, according to Roberts Funeral Home. The notice lists his last name with an alternate spelling, “Pravasavitski.”
What troopers say
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol told WYFF that Pratasavitski was riding a Kawasaki when the bike left the roadway, hit a ditch, then continued on and struck a tree. The Highway Patrol said it had not yet released any findings about possible contributing factors such as speed or impairment.

According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (scdot.org) Traffic Counts / Traffic Analysis and Data Application (TADA), traffic count information is available from over 170 Continuous Count Stations statewide, which can be used to look up AADT near Valley Falls Road.
Investigation ongoing
The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol and Spartanburg County officials, who are working to piece together what led up to the fatal impact. The WYFF report did not include a request for witnesses to contact the Highway Patrol. The funeral home reports that arrangements are pending while relatives are notified.
