A Milwaukee teenager has admitted to a string of violent crimes that prosecutors say tore across the city for weeks and ended in the reckless homicide of visiting motorcyclist Marc Jones in Walker's Point. On Thursday, the teen pleaded guilty to roughly half of 29 felony counts as part of a plea deal that will have prosecutors asking for 30 to 35 years in prison. Sentencing is set for Sept. 11.
Under the agreement, 15 felony counts were dismissed and several others will be resolved at sentencing. Judge David Swanson reminded everyone in the courtroom that he is not bound by the prosecution’s recommendation. The defendant, identified in court records as Zykevious Joshua-Alexander, entered guilty pleas on about half of the charges, including the count tied to Jones’ death. As TMJ4 reported, Swanson called the proceeding complicated because of the sheer number of counts on the table.
Crash In Walker's Point
According to the criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, the crash that killed Jones happened on July 27, 2024, near South First Street and West Walker Street in Walker’s Point. A silver Hyundai allegedly blew through a stop sign and hit Jones’ motorcycle. Jones, who was visiting Milwaukee for a Harley-Davidson event, was taken to Froedtert Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The complaint says surveillance video captured the Hyundai’s occupants getting out of the vehicle as it continued to roll. Alleged Crime Spree Before The Crash
Court records and local reporting describe the crash as the violent end of a weeks-long run of robberies, car thefts and other crimes that began after Joshua-Alexander allegedly removed a GPS monitor tied to an earlier juvenile case. Prosecutors say he and an accomplice pulled off more than a dozen armed robberies, stole at least four vehicles and were connected to a shooting at a Milwaukee park, according to investigators’ accounts. Jones’ family said the plea dredged up raw grief as they listened to prosecutors detail what they called an organized crime spree. “Marc would have stopped for you, Zy’kevious,” Marc’s mother, Marsha Jones, told TMJ4, adding that the family wants accountability for every alleged victim in the case. Defense attorneys and the teen’s family declined to comment after the hearing.

Under the plea deal, some felony counts have been dismissed outright while others will be addressed at sentencing, where Judge Swanson will decide the final prison term.
