Nassau County police are asking Mineola residents to help track down a man wanted for public lewdness after two separate incidents this month inside a village parking garage. Detectives say he stripped, performed sexually explicit acts in full view of security cameras, recorded himself, then casually hopped on a nearby bus out of the area. Authorities shared case reference numbers and warned that this one is not just gross, it is a crime that could pay out a reward for the right tipster.
In a July 20 Facebook post, the Nassau County Police Department said the incidents happened on July 3 and July 8 between roughly 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. inside the public parking garage on First Street in Mineola, and released surveillance images of the man. According to the post, he “disrobed and manipulated his genitals while recording himself” with a cellphone, then boarded a NICE bus near the Mineola bus terminal. Detectives listed case reference numbers 2026cr358644 and 2026cr359601 and said reward money is available.
