Jacksonville’s Westside is getting another warehouse tenant with a very specific mission: keeping gyms, specialty retailers and wellness shoppers across the Southeast stocked with supplements and sports nutrition products.
Muscle Foods USA has established a Southeast distribution hub at a facility on Forshee Drive, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal. The location will support the company’s wholesale distribution of sports nutrition and wellness products throughout the region.
A Wholesale Network Built Around Fitness Retailers
Muscle Foods USA describes itself as a nationwide distributor serving performance stores, gyms, health clubs, health food stores and other retail customers. Its company website lists facilities in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Nevada, Texas, Mississippi and Indiana, making Jacksonville an expansion of an already national warehouse network.
The distributor says it carries products from more than 150 vendors and supports retailers with supply-chain services, category management and marketing assistance. The company also says its distribution model can reach virtually all 48 contiguous states within one to two days, a promise that makes regional warehouse placement especially important for keeping freight moving.
Jacksonville’s Westside Industrial Market Keeps Drawing Big Users
The Jacksonville hub arrives as the city’s industrial market continues to absorb large leasing deals while working through elevated available space. CBRE’s Q2 report put overall industrial vacancy at 10.9% and noted major Westside commitments, including a 604,000-square-foot lease by Trane and a 120,000-square-foot deal involving Stellar Group.
For Muscle Foods USA, the Jacksonville location could shorten delivery routes to Southeast customers and give the company a stronger foothold in one of the region’s busiest logistics markets. The announcement did not include a public jobs estimate or investment figure, so the clearest immediate takeaway is the arrival of another distribution operation in a Westside corridor that continues to attract companies built around storage, freight and regional supply chains.
