Fair Oaks Boulevard just got a new traffic magnet. Chick-fil-A cut the ribbon Thursday on its newest Sacramento-area restaurant, Chick-fil-A Carmichael Village, at 7411 Fair Oaks Boulevard in the Carmichael Village shopping center. The store opened July 9, 2026, and is led by local owner-operator Eric Mason, who already runs the chain’s Madison Avenue restaurant. Company materials say the launch will create about 60 jobs and includes a corporate donation to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
Grand opening and community giveback
Chick-fil-A Carmichael Village held its grand opening Thursday morning and will offer dine-in, drive-thru and delivery services. According to CBS Sacramento, the chain expects the restaurant to create about 60 jobs and marked the launch with a $25,000 donation to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. The opening follows other recent Sacramento-area additions from the brand, including new outlets that opened on El Camino & Watt and on Elk Grove Boulevard earlier this year.
Local operator expands his footprint
Eric Mason, who has operated the Chick-fil-A on Madison Avenue since 2015, will run the new Carmichael location. In a press release quoted by The Sacramento Bee, Mason said, "I have called this area home for over a decade, and I am incredibly grateful for the community I've built here." The Bee also reported an opening-day promotion available through the Chick-fil-A app offering a free hot or iced vanilla coffee on July 9 and July 10.
Why this matters for Fair Oaks Boulevard
The arrival of a drive-thru on Fair Oaks Boulevard is notable because county rules once restricted new drive-through businesses along that corridor. As CBS Sacramento reported in 2023, county officials discussed lifting the ban on drive-thrus and car washes to encourage redevelopment, a policy shift that helped clear the way for projects like this.
Hours, service and features
The Chick-fil-A location lists hours of 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and notes it will be closed on Sundays, according to the restaurant's listing on Chick-fil-A. That page also shows amenities such as drive-thru and mobile ordering and provides contact and career links for local hiring.
What this means locally
The Carmichael restaurant is the tenth Chick-fil-A location in Sacramento County, The Sacramento Bee reported. The new restaurant brings more breakfast and lunch options to the Fair Oaks corridor and continues a pattern of Chick-fil-A openings that pair hiring with community donations.
