
A motorcyclist has died after a crash in North San José that police say is the city's 23rd traffic-related death of 2026. The collision happened last Monday at about 1:57 PM, when a pickup truck turning left into a business parking lot was struck by a motorcycle in the 1000 block of North Tenth Street. The rider, an adult man on a black 2011 Harley-Davidson, was taken to a local hospital with major injuries and later pronounced deceased.
What the police say
According to the San José Police Department, the pickup involved was a beige 2001 Toyota Tundra. Investigators say the truck was making a left turn into a business parking lot when the motorcycle hit it. The truck's adult male driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
