Early Sunday in Orange Mound, a man was left fighting for his life after a driver hit him and took off, according to police. Officers found the injured man just after 5:30 a.m. and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. Neighbors said a heavy police presence shut down the intersection while detectives went door to door looking for witnesses.
Crash Reported At Deadrick And Raymond
According to WREG, officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian just after 5:30 a.m. at Deadrick Avenue and Raymond Street. WREG reports the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and that the driver sped away before officers arrived. The crash remains under investigation.
