On Sunday afternoon, an apartment complex parking lot on the 300 block of East Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas turned into a crime scene when a man was shot while sitting in his car. Police say the victim managed to drive himself to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Officers converged on the complex as investigators worked to figure out how the shooting unfolded.
According to FOX5, the man arrived at a local hospital at about 1:15 p.m. and told officers he had been shot while sitting in his vehicle. The station reports that detectives are treating the details as preliminary while they canvass the complex and interview potential witnesses.
