A busy stretch of East North Avenue turned into a crash scene Friday afternoon when a multi-vehicle collision left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, at least one car flipped on its side, and an entire block taped off while police worked the scene.
The collision unfolded around 4 p.m. and scattered debris across the roadway as emergency crews rushed in. Officers shut down the 2100 block of East North Avenue, and, according to WBFF, multiple vehicles were damaged, and one was overturned.
Photos published by WBFF show a Baltimore Police traffic officer documenting the wreckage, including markings indicating where a pedestrian had been thrown from the roadway. The station reports that an ambulance transported a woman to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
