A 147-acre golf course south of Louisville has traded its final tee time for a much bigger future: more than 400 single-family homes. Penn Run Golf Course recently closed, and the property is now headed toward a master-planned residential community.
Louisville Business First reports that Elite Homes and Arbor Homes bought the Shepherdsville-area property. The course had been operating since 1970, making the sale a significant shift for a familiar piece of the south Louisville and Bullitt County landscape.
