The crew is turning a small commercial spot at 401 N. Federal Blvd into a permanent counter-service setup with room to sit, a move that puts the longtime lot regular on a more predictable schedule.
New storefront and build-out
City filings put the new space at roughly 1,800 square feet, with construction costs estimated at $87,000. The paperwork describes the concept as primarily grab-and-go, although floor plans carve out space for dine-in seating and note that the building previously held a window-repair shop, according to The Denver Post. Those same plans show the menu growing to include burgers and steak plates with fries.
From truck to counter
Porky's has been working the Federal Boulevard strip from a truck, often parked on the same lot, and also markets its catering service on its website. Local business listings place the truck at 401 N. Federal Blvd and highlight regular draws like ribs and rotisserie chicken that have built the vendor a steady following. The truck's long-standing presence on the corner is well established, according to MerchantCircle.

The leap from beloved truck to fixed counter has become a familiar route in Denver, often giving operators more reliable hours and larger catering opportunities. Similar plays have been tracked across the city, including the Cluck Truck's move into a South Broadway storefront, part of a small but visible wave of mobile-to-mortar conversions covered by Eater Denver.
City paperwork also lays out plans to branch further into tacos, tortas and quesadillas, although it does not list an opening date. Owner Sendy Mata declined to comment for this story, according to The Denver Post, and the timing will hinge on permits and build-out progress.
