Where this fits
This stabbing comes on the heels of other recent violence on the Northwest Side. In mid-June, a deadly incident at a local business left a 25-year-old man dead and a teenager detained for questioning, as reported by KSAT. That earlier case remains under investigation and has added to ongoing public-safety concerns in parts of the city.
Investigation ongoing
Detectives are still working to piece together what exactly happened on Oakdale Drive, including taking witness statements and reviewing the circumstances of the fight, News 4 San Antonio reports. The 21-year-old suspect remained detained for questioning while investigators sort through the details leading up to the stabbing.
Authorities have not released any further identifying information about the victim or the suspect. Hoodline will update this post if SAPD provides new details.
