
A 55-year-old man was found shot to death early Saturday on the 1800 block of Irving Street SE in Southeast Washington, and homicide detectives are now investigating the killing.
What Police Say About The Scene
Officers were dispatched just before 6 a.m. after a report of an unconscious person. When they arrived, they found an adult male who was not breathing, and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene, according to WJLA. The outlet reports the victim was identified as 55-year-old Adeyinka Aderemi, and detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have opened an investigation. Officials told the station the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
