Carzell was wanted on an active DeKalb County felony warrant for aggravated sodomy, and officers removed a firearm from his possession before transporting him to the Clayton County jail for booking. Riverdale police say the arrest was carried out by the department’s field operations and drug interdiction units with K9 assistance.
Members of Riverdale’s Field Operations Division and the Apprehension & Interdiction Drug Unit located Carzell on Highway 85 and took him into custody during the operation, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. The outlet reports that authorities then moved him to the Clayton County Jail for processing, wrapping up the arrest without further drama.

Officials say Carzell tried to make a quiet exit by slipping out a back door, but the Riverdale K9 picked up his trail and found him a short distance away.
