
Yesterday, South Rockwood Marina ended in tragedy when a 54-year-old man who lived there was found shot and later died at a Trenton hospital, according to Monroe County deputies. Investigators said the suspects took off in a vehicle, and the shooting remains under active investigation.
Investigation Details
According to ClickOnDetroit, Monroe County Central Dispatch received a 911 call around 7 a.m. reporting that a male had been shot. Deputies responded to the marina while Monroe Community Ambulance and the Berlin Township Fire Department provided medical aid.
Authorities identified the victim as a 54-year-old resident of the marina. He was taken to Corewell Health Trenton, where he died shortly after arriving. Deputies said the suspects fled in a vehicle last seen traveling westbound on S. Huron River Drive.
